The River Trails / Ecotourism and Adventure took us to the summit of Pico da Tijuca.
Located in the central part of the Tijuca Forest, Pico da Tijuca is the highest mountain in the Park, with 1022 meters of altitude. To reach the top, we climbed a staircase carved in stone (built at the beginning of the century, during the visit of King Albert of Belgium), and there contemplate one of the most spectacular views of the city of Rio de Janeiro!
It was enough to enjoy all the area south and north of the city, seeing the beaches, Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the Sugar Loaf and far away, in front of Corcovado we see between the antennas Sumaré, in addition to the Gávea, the Maracana, the Engenhão Guanabara Bay, the towns and distant mountain and the Golden Gate Bridge.
